At the last council meeting, Councilman Moran took a strong position on code enforcement along the Paris Road corridor. Moran rightly pointed out that the Parish had spent considerable amounts of money improving and beautifying the Paris Road corridor only to have certain businesses and individuals obstruct and/or interfere with the Parish’s right of way and efforts to improve the area.
Moran pressed Pomes’ administration to do more to enforce the laws that are already on the books and offered to make the necessary changes to assist with enforcement.

While Moran’s comments seemed to come out of nowhere, his comments reflect a growing dissatisfaction within the community with the lack of consistent and fair enforcement of rules of designed to protect our community. The lack of enforcement causes problems for the community and wastes the limited resources available to improve the Parish.
We commend Moran on taking such a firm stance. We can only hope that this was more than just tough talk and look forward to seeing results!
