Something Stinks

Propaganda or the ugly truth? You decide!

Patrice Cusimano doesn’t understand why everyone keeps pulling out.

In case you missed the last council meeting, Councilperson Cusimano expressed deep concern about the Parish’s inability to find a big law firm to represent the Parish against the Port of New Orleans to stop the LIT development. Cusimano lamented that the law firm who had only been retained by the Parish for the Port litigation on November 19, 2024 “discovered a previously unknown conflict [of interest] and had to withdraw.” This is the third private law firm to be hired by the Parish only to withdraw shortly thereafter.

Take a listen for yourself. Disclaimer: The following video is a clip of an official public meeting of the St. Bernard Parish Council on February 4, 2025.

The public deserves to know the full details of why all of these private law firms keep pulling out from the Port litigation.

Councilperson Cusimano’s concluding remarks suggest that there is more to the pullout than meets the eye.

Be sure to stay tuned!
