In a recent press release, the Port of New Orleans now estimates that St. Bernard Parish will receive $18.4 million per year in tax revenue.
But wait a minute. Just a few months ago, the Port was estimating $760 million per year. The Port’s own publications contradict each other.
So which is it? $760 million per year? $27 million per year? or $18 million per year?
No one really knows because this is all just hype!
